ArduPilot .bin log analyzer
Drop your flight log and see in seconds vibration, battery, GPS, the EKF3 estimator, errors, modes and motors, with the thresholds from the ArduPilot documentation. The log is read in your browser and never uploaded. And, if you like, Captain Pitot’s AI report.
The log is processed entirely in your browser: it is not uploaded to any server. Logs up to 600 MB.
Practise what went wrong. In the AIRLAB FPV simulator you rehearse transitions, failsafes and procedures with your parameters and, with AIRLAB Connector, fly real ArduPilot (SITL). Try it free for 30 minutes.
Try 30 minutes freeWhat it checks
Vibration
Mean and maximum per axis (VIBE), time above 30 and 60 m/s² and clipping during the flight, using the thresholds from ArduPilot’s “Measuring Vibration” guide.
Battery and motors
Minimum voltage under load and per cell, maximum current and capacity used against BATT_CAPACITY; motors that spend a long time at the maximum of their output.
GPS and EKF3
Satellites, HDOP and time without 3D fix; innovation test ratios for velocity, position, height and magnetometer (XKF4) and core switches.
Errors, modes and parameters
ERR errors with their subsystem, failsafes, autopilot messages, modes with their duration and the log parameters reviewed with the .param analyzer.
Indicative review: the thresholds are those from the ArduPilot documentation and every aircraft has its own particularities. Check the conclusions on your aircraft before flying.
Questions
Which logs does it accept?
ArduPilot .bin (DataFlash) logs recorded on the flight controller’s SD card or downloaded with Mission Planner or QGroundControl: ArduPlane, QuadPlane and ArduCopter. Telemetry .tlog files are not supported.
Is my log uploaded?
No. The log is read entirely in your browser. Only if you request the AI report is the computed summary sent (vibration, battery, GPS, EKF, errors, modes and the parameters), and it is deleted once the report is finished.
What vibration levels are acceptable?
According to the ArduPilot documentation, below 30 m/s² is normally acceptable and above 60 m/s² nearly always causes position or altitude problems. Clipping should be 0.
What do the EKF ratios mean?
They are the EKF3 innovation test ratios (SV, SP, SH and SM in the XKF4 message). Below 1 the measurement is accepted; above 1 the estimator rejects it. Frequent rejections point to vibration, GPS or compass issues.
Is it free?
Yes. The log analysis is free and needs no sign-up. Captain Pitot’s AI report is free too: it only asks for your name and email, with up to 3 reports per day.
