Get towed up, release and hunt for thermals.
A 2.5 m sailplane with no motor. It is towed up by another aircraft and you release with a button. Then it is time to find rising air: thermals where the ground heats up and slope lift on windward hillsides.
- Total-energy variometer with sound: higher-pitched beeps the faster you climb, a low tone when you sink
- Weather map with the likely thermal areas, the slope lift and the cloud base
- Thermals topped by cumulus clouds, born from the sun, the colour of the ground and the terrain, and drifting with the wind
- Competitions: F3J-style duration with a precision landing, and slope distance between bases
Included model · high-wing V-tail tilt-rotor
Engineering numbers, in plain sight.
Computed from the geometry with an in-house vortex lattice method, validated against reference results, and NeuralFoil for drag and stall. Calibration with real flight logs: in progress.
Also included
Two FPV drones for the same scenario.
A 5" freestyle and a 7" long-range, with Betaflight-style ACRO, ANGLE and HORIZON modes, configurable "Actual" rates, airmode and GPS Rescue if you lose the radio link. FPV camera with its real uptilt.
And also
Everything you will find in the field, before you go.
Betaflight-style OSD
Design the OSD on the 53 × 20 HD grid of digital goggles, with templates and a separate OSD for the drone and for the plane.
Video link
Digital or analogue: blocking and freezes, or snow and colour loss as you fly away or behind an obstacle, with its latency.
Radio link
LQ and RSSI that drop with distance, and ArduPlane's failsafe chain when the link is lost.
Arming checks
The flight controller's checks and your pre-flight checklist before the first flight: props, battery, controls, failsafe, wind and area.
Record your flights
MP4 video up to 1080p with the OSD, the warnings and the sound of motors and wind, ready to share.
ArduPilot parameters
Import the .param from Mission Planner or QGroundControl, test it here and export the simulator's own. With real ArduPilot, fly your .param as it is.
On your phone
With on-screen touch sticks or with your radio, in landscape and full screen.
Spanish and English
The whole interface, the voice, the instructor and the manual of more than 80 pages, in both languages.
Choose the aircraft for what you are training
The VTOLs, for transitions and vertical flight with ArduPlane's Q modes (VTOL simulator); the fixed wings and the glider, for plane flying, AUTO missions and slope soaring; the multirotors, for professional inspection work missions; and the FPV drones, for acrobatic and long-range flying.
